Fingerpick A Sat 1 PM Oct 1
Fingerpicking Workshop "A": Beginner-Level Accompaniment. Oct 1 Saturday 1-3:30 PM at Good Day Ukulele studio (near Olbrich Gardens, East Madison). Fingerpicking is a playing technique that plucks individual strings in repeating patterns. From delicate, harp-like sounds to faster, banjo-like sounds, it can add significant variety and mood to your accompaniment. We'll explore a range of common patterns and compatible songs. Half of the workshop is spent explaining and demonstrating patterns; the other half practicing them together in songs. We'll take a 20 minute break to stretch, discuss new ideas with each other, and build community. Visual and audio recordings are provided, so note-taking is NOT necessary. Please bring a ukulele and tuner.
